Bemis Brook Falls (also known as Bemis Falls) is one of the coolest waterfalls in Crawford Notch State Park. The waterfall is located along Bemis Brook – about .5 miles from the Bemis Brook Trail Head. The trail is located just off Highway 302 and the hike takes about 25 minutes. Parking is free.
The waterfall is made up of 4 different stair-steps which drop consecutively. In total, the waterfall stands about 30 feet tall. The flow of Bemis Brook does not seem too strong, but the flow of Bemis Brook Falls is typically very good. It is best to visit during the early spring and winter to see the strongest streams.
Bemis Brook Falls is one of three major waterfalls located along Bemis Brook. The others are Arethusa Falls and Coliseum Falls.
