Castle Hill is a luxury hotel in Newport, RI situated on 40 oceanfront acres. The inn itself is a mansion that was built in 1874 by marine biologist and naturalist Alexander Agassiz of Harvard University. The mansion became an inn after World War 2 and was only open in the summer. It later became the year-round inn that it is today also offers beach cottages for lodging. In 2008, Castle Hill became the first Rhode Island property to be invited into the prestigious Relais & Chateaux family.
